Introduction


The World Intelligent Driving Challenge (WIDC) is an important component of the World Intelligent Congress (WIC). Since its inaugural event in 2017, it has always received high attention and recognition from leaders of ministries and commissions, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, vehicle manufacturers, automotive networking industry chain enterprises, and research institutions. On average, more than 100 domestic and foreign racing teams participate in the event every year, and have been reported by well-known domestic and foreign media such as CCTV multiple times. Nowadays, WIDC has gradually become a world-class forward-looking intelligent technology practice verification platform and industry exchange platform, providing a platform for participating enterprises to showcase automotive intelligent technology for the industry and consumers, cultivating a group of high-quality technology talents for the intelligent connected vehicle industry, continuously leading the industry towards the latest development direction and strategic layout, and promoting the healthy development of the intelligent vehicle industry.

Event content and highlights
1、 Metaverse Virtual Simulation Competition
The Metaverse Virtual Simulation Competition uses metaverse technology to create a digital twin competition simulation road of about 10 kilometers, with a 1:1 reproduction of roads, buildings, vehicles, trees, etc., with an accuracy of centimeter level. It restores more than 50 real buildings and more than 30 types of traffic signs such as road signs. During the competition, multiple elements such as edge scenes, traffic accidents, and extreme weather are combined to reproduce real intelligent transportation scenes, providing a more professional simulation algorithm verification platform for the competition team, comprehensively showcasing the new intelligent connected vehicle software and hardware testing ecosystem in Dongli District, making the competition a "test field" for intelligent driving vehicles before closed road testing and open road testing, and continuously delivering leading innovative projects for the local area of Tianjin.

2. Intelligent driving mass production competition
The competition will be solicited for consumers across the country, encouraging them to take their cars and participate in on-site experiences. In terms of competition system, the brand new World Cup competition system is used to enhance the viewing of the event. Vehicles are divided into four groups according to type, and 1V1PK is conducted within the group. After two rounds of competition, the champion within the group is selected. There are a total of 10 subjects, with basic and advanced auxiliary functions accounting for 50% each. Basic auxiliary functions include front vehicle stationary, low speed recognition and response, lane centering control, and horizontal parking space entry. Advanced auxiliary functions include paddle lane changing, pilot assisted passage success rate, etc.

3. Intelligent Connected Real Car Race
Carry out intelligent connected vehicle races in response to the technological development of intelligent connected vehicles. This year's competition project has further increased its difficulty, targeting multiple functions such as intelligent vehicle perception data sharing, pedestrian intention recognition, signal light recognition, and unmanned delivery. 14 different style competition scenes have been set up on the 5.2 kilometer track of the Lihu Ring Road, comprehensively testing the core data algorithms, sensor recognition accuracy, and driving strategy selection of the participating teams.

4. Information Security Offensive and Defense Tournament
The competition is held online and offline. The preliminaries are held online, using the automobile network security shooting range. The team accesses the target through the virtual shooting range to complete the penetration test of the vehicle machine information virtualization module. The final stage is held offline, and the competition team completes the questions by infiltrating the actual vehicle.

5. Citizen Experience Activities
In order to make the people feel the achievements of technological innovation and development in the automotive industry and enhance their participation, this competition has added a citizen experience section, inviting citizens to experience autonomous driving in Dongli Lake, which is full of spring in May.

6. Intelligent Connected Vehicle Theme Forum
The theme forum of this competition has received widespread attention from industry insiders, with enthusiastic registration and participation. It is expected that there will be 400 guests participating this year, twice the expected number, and the scale will reach a new high. The theme of this forum has become more refined and focused, adopting a new model of "one main forum and three sub forums". On the 19th, the main forum with the theme of "The 6th International Forum on Intelligent Connected Vehicle Product Testing and Certification Technology" will be held after the opening ceremony. On the morning of the 20th, three sub forums led by technical experts will be held, including intelligent driving testing, vehicle networking and intelligent cockpit. A sub forum organized by technical experts in the three major fields of intelligent connected vehicle safety. At present, invitations have been sent to academicians such as Li Deyi, Li Jun, Fang Binxing, Li Keqiang, and senior experts from industry institutions and enterprises such as the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the Automobile Transport Center of the Ministry of Transport, the VDA German Automobile Industry Association, Rheinland Group, the China Electric Vehicle Hundred People Association, Huawei Technology Co., Ltd., Pengcheng Laboratory, and Japan's Tiya Zhixing Company have confirmed their attendance at the speech. Technical experts from mainstream domestic enterprises such as Mercedes Benz, Xiaopeng, Ideal, NIO, BYD, GAC Aian, FAW, Dongfeng, Changan, etc. have confirmed their participation in the conference.
