In May, Tianjin is lush and vibrant, with a surge of collaborative innovation along the banks of the Haihe River.
The signing ceremony was conducted in eight sessions, covering the "117 Project" asset revitalization, "117 Area" key projects, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development, intelligent manufacturing, new energy and high-end equipment manufacturing, high-end service industry, embodied intelligence, and green and low-carbon advanced manufacturing. These projects highlight new quality productive forces, aiming to drive industrial transformation through new projects and technologies.
Every session represents a solid commitment; every stroke of the pen marks a new beginning.
On-site, project representatives from Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Shenzhen, and other regions engaged in discussions and shook hands with officials from municipal departments. Behind these agreements lies the integration of resources and complementary strengths, as well as the entrepreneurs' firm commitment to deepening their roots in Tianjin and co-creating the future. Sun Wenjun, Head of the Fourth Investment Promotion Division of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Investment Promotion, stated, "The signed projects cover cutting-edge fields such as brain-computer interfaces, solid-state batteries, and embodied intelligence. They are rich in innovation, technology, economic value, and sustainability, showcasing Tianjin's achievements in deepening the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development and integrating scientific and industrial innovation."
It is no coincidence that so many high-quality projects have converged here. Many participating entrepreneurs remarked, "From initial contact to project implementation, Tianjin has won the trust of businesses through concrete actions." "The attention to detail is remarkable; you can truly feel the city's sincerity." "A good business environment isn't built on slogans but on results. Tianjin has provided ample support in both industrial infrastructure and services." ...
Sharge Technology is a high-tech enterprise from Shenzhen specializing in the R&D of AI glasses, power charging and storage products, and data storage solutions. "Through this signing, we will establish our North China R&D and production center for AI glasses in the Tianjin Binhai High-tech Industrial Development Area, with a planned investment of over RMB 300 million to build production lines for AI glasses and charging and storage products. The AI glasses production line is expected to start operation by the end of this year, followed by the charging and storage product line in 2027. We expect our annual output value to exceed RMB 1 billion within five years," Zhang Bo, founder and CEO of Sharge Technology, told the reporter, adding that they chose to expand in Tianjin primarily due to its talent resources and industrial cluster advantages. "For instance, Tianjin Lishen Battery Joint-Stock Co., Ltd. and CETC Lantian Technology Co., Ltd. are our suppliers. Proximity to our supply chain reduces costs and ensures product quality."
Cultivating fertile soil will attract top-tier enterprises. In the interview, Zhang Bo noted that in Tianjin, cutting-edge technologies transition from labs to diverse real-world applications. Innovative firms no longer operate in isolation, thanks to robust industrial ecosystems and policy support, and entrepreneurs can focus on their strategic goals and expansion with confidence. A pragmatic, open, and inclusive business environment has made Tianjin a preferred destination for investment and business growth.
Speaking as a long-time partner of Tianjin, Kan Yonghai, Director and Executive President of Delong Steel Group—a Fortune Global 500 steel giant—noted at the expo, "Tianjin's proximity to ports provides it with unrivaled logistics advantages. Moreover, the city boasts numerous universities and a robust pool of high-end talent, complemented by an excellent ecological environment and a comprehensive industrial ecosystem. With the relocation of our global management headquarters to Tianjin serving as a new milestone, we will establish more premium resources, core business operations, and innovative projects in the city."
The signing ceremony delineates a development landscape for the city as it moves toward innovation and strives for excellence. Leveraging this signing as an opportunity, relevant municipal departments will provide end-to-end service support for project implementation. By focusing on enterprise needs and providing targeted assistance to resolve challenges, they will ensure that high-quality projects take root and flourish in the Central Urban Area of Tianjin.
This year marks a pivotal year for Tianjin's transformation and breakthrough in investment promotion. The Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Investment Promotion is anchoring its efforts on new quality productive forces by implementing strategies such as leading enterprise leadership, chain-based aggregation, capital empowerment, and scenario support. The Bureau is dedicated to introducing high-level projects and attracting major industry players, aiming to foster industrial chain clusters and build a powerful industrial momentum.
